Greetings this fine Thursday  morning from

SEANRY

who rocks a typical morning outfit:  Goggles? Check.  Second degree forehead burn from sparklers? Check.  “Washable” marker graffiti body art from the filthy liars a Crayola?  Check.  Poor white trash diaper?  Check.  Two different sandals on the wrong feet? Check. Background crap, drying towels and tantruming sister for extra effect?  Check, check.

DYLAN & KADE

who cap an afternoon of watering the garden sprinkler time with their own special version of dueling banjos kid songs.  Today’s battle featured the crowd favorites of Popcorn Popping On The Apricot Tree vs. Na, Na, Na, Na, Na, Na I Can’t HEAR You!!

… and from …

ASHY

who’s been talking up a storm lately with adorable little phrases like:  Lub you Daddy, See Ya Later and My Food-Back Off.  In unrelated news, Kade and Ash got into some sort of  scuffle after lunch.  I didn’t see what happened, but Kade says he’s not Ashy’s friend anymore and that he’s hungry for cherries.

… and from …

CAMERON & SAVANNAH

100_4775who kicked off our 4th of July weekend by trading in their report cards from Friday’s last day of school for free donuts at Krispy Kreme.  Because there’s nothing so quintessentially American as obesity.

TDHD’s MOM

who fed the kids cereal for lunch and Top Ramen for dinner because I was way too busy making this patriotic little number to actually cook.

Priorities.  I’ve always been about priorities.

On a side note for those who haven’t heard …

The Magical Layoff Fairy has found us again.

Ben found out yesterday afternoon that the financial services division of Wells Fargo were he works is closing its doors in 60 days.  There is a very good chance that he will be offered a position working at a regular WF branch location but he gets to start all over again.  Again.

We’re okay.  We’ve been through this before.

The banking side of WF is very strong and, luckily for us, the lower positions have the best chance of being reassigned.

So …

Wish us fun on another adventure!

The good news is that I’ve been working on a new project for the last few months that I’m going to share here on Monday.

I kind of lost my nerve to try to put it out there this last week, but yesterday’s news confirms to me that I need to push forward.  I’m SO excited about it and really feel like the timing here isn’t a coincidence.

***************

Now go enjoy your weekend!
