Greetings this fine Thursday morning from this
Beautiful Little Girl
who turns three on Saturday.
Holy cow. How can it be three years …?
Three years since I traded in my breading shoes …
… and brought this angel home …
… and we all fell in love hard.
Because she was the longed for, prayed for, one last angel baby that made our family complete.
And I can’t even tell you how happy I was to hold this sweet little two week old in my arms as I made my first venture in public with the newly formed Dirty Half Dozen …
… and how hard it was to leave her behind and go back to work …
… and ache knowing that I was missing memories with this last baby that I’d never get to experience again.
But what a way to go out, huh?
She has been our liquid sunshine, happy baby from the start. And having her in our home has been all sorts of awesome.
And just like with her older siblings, I struggle each Thursday when I have to put into words just how much I love them … just how proud I am to be their momma … and today … just how much this little growley girl makes me complete.
So the list starts—the list of everything I want the world to know about this amazing little girl.
The top of the list?
I love that she’s a daddy’s girl.
The only way I was able to leave my newborn and go back to work was knowing that she was safe at home with someone who loved her just as much as I did. And that special time of daddy and baby together has spun it’s own particular brand of magic. If you’ve seen them together then you know what I’m talking about.
I love that Momma is a close second.
And I melt--melt--whenever she climbs up on my lap and snuggles in close and whispers I Love You Momma. Or when I ask her if she’s my angel baby and she nods and smiles and wraps her arms around my neck.
I love that she makes messes faster than you can say Tide with Bleach.
For the record, this also makes me crazy.
I love that she’s absolutely fearless …
… especially when she’s hanging over the edge of the top tier of the tallest slide at the biggest park.
I love that she has more personality than you can shake a stick at …
… and that she will always, always make a face at the camera when you tell her to smile.
I love that she’s growing up …
… even if it’s way too fast.
And I love that I find a new absolute-favorite-picture-of-Ash-ever each time I download pics from the camera.
Yup. There’s another one.
Now go enjoy your weekend!
We sure will.
