Wake Up Randy! Santa's been here!

Last night the kids were thrilled to open new jammies and read cards from cousins. We all curled up on Mom & Dad's bed and watched Joy To The World and then sent the kids who were still awake to bed. (Kade and Sean ended up sleeping there the whole night which left the parents out on the couch. Hmmm.... need to work that different next year.) Christmas started at 4 am this morning when small, sneaky children started the scouting runs up the stairs to survey the loot. After progressively grumpier orders to "Go to bed," "It's not time yet," "It's still dark outside," etc., we caved around 7 am and let the kids loose.

We had a wonderful Christmas and were overwhelmed by the love and support from our family and friends. We saw in the gifts from grandparents, aunts and uncles and secret Santa friends just how much our family has been blessed this last year. The kids kept saying, "This is the best Christmas ever!" and they're right. Thank you so much for everyone who shared their love for our family, especially those whose names we will never know -- we love you!

It's almost lunch time here and Peterson's just snuggled back in for a warm winter's nap so I'm off to do the same. Merry Christmas everyone - hope each of you get a nap this afternoon.
